20” Speckled Trout in Bayou Chico

This was a late afternoon trip in Bayou Chico. The tide was moving out and there was a south wind. I caught 3 speckled trout, one around 20 inches. The bait of choice was a 4” Z-Man Slam Shady variant. One of the highlights of the trip was getting really close to yellow-crowned night heron as it was looking for fish.
