Foggy Day at Daphne Pilings

I started fishing the Daphne Pilings two hours before a major peak. It was really foggy with barely any wind. There was a ton of bait in the area and I was encouraged the bite would be hot in a couple hours. I caught 3 speckled trout in a span of 15 minutes which encouraged me more. I was thinking there needed to be a wind change or tidal change to get the fish on the chew. I got my wish with the wind change but it also brought in rain which ended my trip before the major peak started. At least the rain washed off the kayak on the way back home.
