Bayou Chico Inshore Fishing - Pensacola Florida

I launched just after 1 pm at Bayou Chico. I had a minor peak starting around 1:30. The water was clear with about four feet of visibility and the tide was just starting to come into the bayou. It was helped with a southeast wind. I fished east from the boat launch casting around the sailboats, structure and deep waters using a 4” Slam Shady. I ended up catching 5 speckled trout, most were around 12-14”. I had one around 16” and another that looked to be in the 20-22” range but it came off while taking action photos. This was fine by me since it was a short catch and release day.
