Easter Skunk in Fairhope, Alabama

I didn’t have high hopes for this trip in Fairhope, Alabama because the bay looked like chocolate milk from the recent rain. I was hoping the southern winds would be bring in some clear water but that was not the case. I launched late afternoon. I stayed north of the boat launch and found some pelicans, bait and mullet jumping but no trout. I saturated the area with purple paddle tails and a rattle trap but no bites. After two days of big Easter meals I just didn’t feel up to a full blown trip so I cut it short after an hour. Although this trip was a bust, I was encouraged with the signs of life and feel like Mobile Bay will have a hot bite in a few days.
